2024 HIATUS ANNOUNCEMENT
Friends of North Shadeland Alliance,
After four years of pouring ourselves into this community, we have decided to take a hiatus for the remainder of 2024.
Our scrappy little leadership team has gone through lots of life changes among each of us, making it more and more difficult to put as much focus into North Shadeland Alliance as we would like.
Our friends (and fiscal sponsor) at Binford Redevelopment and Growth (BRAG) have offered to manage the IMPD Substation at 75th and Shadeland through the end of the year.
Be sure to subscribe to their email list, Facebook, and Instagram to stay up to date so you may continue to support our local officers and safety in that shopping center.
We will reevaluate near the end of 2024 to make a decision on what 2025 will look like for this effort.
We want to thank each of you who volunteered and contributed to our community through the North Shadeland Alliance. Whether you joined public safety walks, donated food or drink to the substation, helped plan fall festivals, or simply liked and shared our updates on social media, we appreciate you.
Our social media accounts will close down for the year.
We are in talks with Gleaner’s Food Bank and Castleton UMC regarding another summer of mobile food banks. If and when information is available for that, you will get an email from us letting you know how to take part and who is leading that effort.
